This next generation Earthing Control Device (in USA known as a “Grounding Control Device”) is used for the controlled discharge of electronic charges of top loading tanker trucks, railway tanker wagons, containers and barrels in hazardous explosive environments of zones 1 and zone 2.

The device ensures that filling is only permitted in case of a sufficient low impedance earthing connection to the object. If the earthing connection is interrupted, the device immediately switches back into the safe status and the filling process stops. The Earthing Control Device EKX-4 is designed and certified in accordance with the latest standards related to the European explosion prevention directive 94/9/E.C. (ATEX 95).

The Control device EUS-2c functions as Overfill Prevention Controller for bottom loading tanker trucks in hazardous areas of zone 1, gas group IIB. The device is capable of identifying the type of level sensors as well as the type of earthing control and switches to the required operating mode automatically. To ensure a safe filling process, permanent monitoring of the tank contents, earthing and the gas pendulum connection is carried out. Beyond that the Overfill Prevention Controller EUS-2 continuously performs an auto-diagnosis of all safety related internal components and the external wiring. The multifunctional display enables simple, menu-guided and self-explanatory device configuration in various languages.
